Pictures from the SCCA

Tonight is the last night for a few weeks at Children's and we're excited to get back home once again.  Today we were 'trained' on all the things we have to do to take care of Cash during the time in between treatments - I thought that just because I've been paying attention to the line flushes, cap changes, and Hickman dressing I would be just fine...How I was mistaken but I passed and will get a lot of practice tomorrow before we leave in the company of the experts.

We're tired and ready to go home but we did have fun today (the best we could).  I wanted to experience what Cash experiences each night when he sleeps in the crib/cage and Cash was busy on the Mac...

And I think this is one of my favorite of favorites:

If you're asking what you can do for us - continue to pray for this beautiful little boy that God heals him.  We are all in His hands and I trust Him with my life and the lives of my family.

  1. You have a beautiful child and my family and I pray for you every day. My son spent a couple months in the NICU at birth so I understand the need for Tully's! Stay strong and God Bless!

  2. You sure know how to make Jack Jr giggle!!! "my daddy is SO silly! He is not supposed to be in Cash's bed!" All the kids huddled around my phone looking at the pictures-it was very sweet. Jack Jr is looking forward to going home tonight and seeing his Mama and Daddy, "that is MY Mama" he says looking at the picture :) and he has been stockpiling lots of kisses and hugs for his little brother! We love you and we know that the Lord has wrapped his loving, protective arms around you. ~s parriera and family

  3. You are hilarious! I often thought about crawling up into Zoe's crib there, but was afraid I'd break it. Nice to know the equipment there is sturdier than I thought. ;-)

That pic of Cash and Mama is a heart-melter & tear-enducer. Oh, how we love our kids--and how they love us and trust us to get them through: an awesome and often-times terrifying responsibility...

  5. I am so glad you guys get to go home - that will help so much to be with creature comforts. There are a lot of angels looking out for Cash and you three, too--you can do the dressings and flushes and treatments--love makes it possible. Be strong, love and prayers from the Andersons

  7. What a cute post! I loved the humor and smiles in the midst of this nightmare--Jack, you are too funny in that crib/cage. My mom told me today that when my bro was in the hospital as a baby, she slept in his crib with him. :) I looooove the photo of Cash and Wendi sleeping together. So precious. Love + lots of daily prayers from the Jios, xoxoxo
